The National Concert Hall

On the grounds of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, The National Concert Hall is the home of Chinese and international symphony orchestras and choirs performance. On the basement level, there is a gallery with pictures and exhibitions of Taiwanese artistic and musical talent, and also the Recital Hall, where chamber music, recitals, workshops, demonstrations and lectures take place.

Taipei 101

Taipei 101 is a landmark skyscraper located in Taipei, with 101 floors, Designed by C.Y. Lee & Partners and constructed by KTRT Joint Venture, and since 2004 it is the tallest building in the world. Its original name was Taipei Financial Center, but for its 101 floors got its nickname, Taipei 101. The interior is as impressive as its size, being the most technologically advanced skyscraper constructed to date, with fiber optics, satellite Internet connections, double decker elevators with a speed of 37.5 mph or 16.83 meters per second, and features 6 floor malls, restaurants, nightclubs, all within a retro Gothic style and feng shui master design.

Hsinchu

Hsinchu is a center of hi-tech industry, located in the north-western part of Taiwan. Back in 1980 the Hsinchu Science based Industrial Park was founded, being a major boost for the economy and the city growth. Even though it's not a tourist city, it is a good base to explore the mountain areas of Hsinchu County, and offers great parks and scenic sites, like the Chingtsao Park, Hsinchu Botanical Garden with more than 300 examples of Taiwan's indigenous flora, and several Amusement Parks.
