Shang Yuan Festival

Shang Yuan Festival is a lantern festival celebrated on the 15th day of the 1st month in the lunar year in the Chinese calendar, and is a very sacred and joyful celebration. During this festival, the children go out at night carrying bright lanterns, which used to be pretty simple in ancient times, but now the have complex designs and shapes, like animal shapes for example.
