Taiwanese cuisine

Cuisine Taiwanese cuisine is quite different from the Chinese cuisine due to the influence of the different ethnicities. Every city has its famous dishes and their own way to cook the same meal. Because of living on a crowded island, the Taiwanese had to look for sources of protein, not involving farmlands, so the result is seafood figuring prominently in their cuisine. Taiwanese cuisine relies on a  wide variety of seasonings for flavor, resulting in dishes of combined and interesting tastes.
