Tan Shui Deck

4Early in the night, when the fishing boats have returned back from the sea, a  nice breeze blows from the direction of the ocean bringing with it a salty fragrance. You will find standing on Dan Shui Deck will provide you with the perfect vantage point for taking in this sea-breeze. If you close your eyes for a moment you can even think you are far away from the crowded city. Don't miss the outstanding sunset that eludes you in Taipei City. Or wait for the stars to come out and gaze at the night sky.

Ping Hsi Branch Railway Line

3The Ping Hsi Branch Line serves an area of Taiwan in decline - a former coal-mining district to the southeast of Taipei. Starting from Jui Fang, the line climbs through depressed villages consisting of tarpaper-roofed houses, small temples, and the elderly. Many passengers disembark near Shi Fen to see two amazing waterfalls. The train passes through lots of tunnels and over bridges. The scenery is green, craggy and very typical of rural north Taiwan. The final stop is Ching Tung, a sleepy village linked to Taipei by bus. Definetly a different ride for that special vacation.
